Cleopatra (Sedir) Island

Sedir Island, also known as Cleopatra Island due to its intensely told folk story, is located 16 kilometers off Marmaris. The history of the island, whose ancient name is Cedrae, dates back to the 6th century BC. Today, the beach on the north coast, which consists of specially shaped limestone particles, is kept under protection. You can see the historical tower and city walls, temple and church ruins, theater and agora on Sedir Island, which you can reach by boat departing from Gallipoli Village of Marmaris.
